This is a great class for beginning knitters! You will learn how to do different techniques...such as purling/knitting in the same row, increases/decreases, cables, beginning lace, etc. There will be 4 classes in a series, each class will have a different technique. Sign up for one, or all. Dishcloths make great gifts, and can even be sewn together to make an afghan!

$5 per class.
Materials needed:

Cotton Worsted weight yarn (to be purchased at Purls Tucson)
Needles: sizes 7, 8 or 9
Cable Hook
Markers

Circular Knitting        $12

Learn how to knit in the round! Using this technique, you can knit hats, socks, sweaters, cowls, etc. We will instruct you how to knit with the round with circular needles, double point needles, and using 2 circular needles!

Basic Oops!             $12

Learn how to make corrections to your knitting without ripping it off the needles.  We will cover "tinking", dropping stitches and picking them back up, and more.

Finishing              $12

Are you unhappy with the way you sew your garments together?  Let us show you how to handle vertical seams, horizontal seams, and horizontal-to-vertical seams in stockinette stitch.  Make your finishing as nice as your knitting!  No supplies are needed for this workshop.

Cables        $12

Learn how to knit cables. This is a great technique to learn for your scarves, afghans, sweaters..almost anything. Bring yarn with appropriate needles. Cable needles will need to be purchased if you don't already own them.
