SATURDAY CLINICS Saturdays, From 3:00-4:00 $10 each, or 3/$25 At Purls Tucson we have project-oriented, multiple-session workshops as well as 1 to 2 hour technique-driven classes without projects.  Check out our "Technique Classes" and "Project Oriented Clinics" and "Beginning Knitting & Crochet Classes" and "Knit & Crochet Dr. Aid" for our other classes. Clinics are technique-driven classes. We work on practice pieces, not on your knitting projects. This allows you to hone your skills before beginning the actual project. Use these clinics to beef up your skill base. In order to sign up for Saturday Clinics, participants must have their basic knitting skills, which include casting on, knitting, purling and binding off. For the Socks on Circulars clinic, participants must already possess sock knitting skills.        Basic Oops                                       $12 Learn how to make corrections to your knitting without ripping it off the needles.  We will cover "tinking", dropping stitches and picking them back up, and more.  Bring smooth, solid-colored yarn, appropriate needles, and a crochet hook.      Saturday, 8/7: 3:00-4:00 (Special Saturday Clinic Price $10)   Continental Knitting       $12 Stop throwing and start picking!  Many people agree that knitting and purling continental style is faster than throw or English style knitting and purling.  Come give it a try!      Saturday, 8/14: 3:00-4:00 (Special Saturday Clinic Price $10)   Finishing I                                                           $12     Are you unhappy with the way you sew your garments together?  Let us show you how to handle vertical seams, horizontal seams, and horizontal-to-vertical seams in stockinette stitch.  Make your finishing as nice as your knitting!  No supplies are needed for this workshop.        Saturday, 8/21: 3:00-4:00 (Special Saturday Clinic Price $10)   Socks on 2 Circs   Learn how to make socks using two circular needles, instead of 4 dpn's.  Still knitting in the round, but using 2 needles, not 4...same end result!        Saturday, 8/28: 3:00-4:00 (Special Saturday Clinic Price $10)
