TECHNIQUE CLASSES
At Purls Tucson we have project-oriented, multiple-session workshops as well as 1 to 2 hour technique-driven classes without projects. Check out our "Project Oriented Classes" and "Saturday Clinics" and "Beginning Knitting & Crochet Classes" and "Knit & Crochet Dr. Aid" for our other classes.
One-day workshops allow us to focus in-depth on specific techniques. This is a great way to build up your skills!
Some classes fill up early, so be sure to sign up for those that you want to secure your spot. Classes without registered,and paid, participants may be canceled or moved to a different time slot, so please register early. If the classes do not have enough participants, the instructor has the option to cancel the class, so please call to verify the status.
Saturday clinics are $10, or 3 for $25.
Basic Oops $12
Learn how to make corrections to your knitting without ripping it off the needles. We will cover "tinking", dropping stitches and picking them back up, and more. Bring smooth, solid-colored yarn, appropriate needles, and a crochet hook.

Socks on Circs $12
Learn how to make socks using two circular needles, instead of 4 dpn's. Still knitting in the round, but using 2 needles, not 4...same end result!

Feed Your Creativity - "Glisten" Cable Rib Hat
10 classes, 10 fibers, 10 patterns, & 10 techniques in 10 months to enhance your knitting skills!
Each month we will have a new project for you to learn, or enhance, knitting techniques. First month we will be knitting; fist class will be the "Glisten" Cable Rib Hat. You will learn how to:
knit in the round by using circular, and double-pointed, needles;
cable using a cable needle;
do a rib stitch.
Items included- 2 skeins of Kollage Glisten yarn (enough for hat and cowl) and Cable Rib Hat & Cowl Pattern.
Items needed-US size 8 dpn's and size 10 16" circular needles, cable hook, measuring tape, tapestry needle and scissors.
Knitting skills needed- Knit and purl
Hiding Tails $12
This new technique class focuses on weaving in the tails (that we all love to hate!). You will learn different ways of weaving in different stitch and fiber situations. Sign up to get whip those tails into shape!
