The Grand Re-opening festivities are over and they were a huge success! We had the sale weekend, the free clinic weekend, the yarn tasting weekend, and the fashion show weekend. Thank you to all who participated and a big thank you to all our vendors and reps who donated yarns and needles for the yarn tasting!
Beginning this month, we will be offering "Feed Your Creativity" (Kollage Yarns) classes. Each month will be a different project, and will involve a new technique. Everything you need is included in the kits, except for the needles. The first kit is the "Glisten" Cable Rib Hat. Please refer to the "technique" page of our site for further details. We will be receiving limited supplies, so hurry and register! The cost of the first project is $34.99 (includes class, yarn and pattern). You also have the option of purchasing the V.I.P. package for $99.97. This is for the first 3 months of kits, and it allows you to have first choice on colors.
Our Sock Club is still going strong. Can you believe we've been doing this for 3 years?! If you haven't noticed all the socks hanging from the ceiling, check it out next time you're in the store..it's quite amazing! The best part is that no one knows anything about the sock of the month until the night of Sock Club! I think it is the best kept secret at Purls Tucson! This month will be a "classic sock in a new style".
It's hard to believe it's September already. Kids are back in school, grandchildren have come and gone back home, snowbirds are coming back soon and now it's time for you to sit and relax. No, wait a minute, are those the holidays coming 'round the corner? Do you have your projects all lined up? Are you looking for ideas? Time to start thinking about holiday gifts! Remember, a sweater can't get done overnight! (I've tired, doesn't work.)
